Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan may sit strongly on the industry’s throne, but the actor recently faced a rough patch with his movies failing to create a mark in the box office.
However, despite the mistakes, during the trailer launch of a Marathi movie called Smile Please, the actor still had his spirits up as he produced a witty commentary on his flops.
Speaking of the story line of the film that was somewhat influenced by his mom, Khan said: “I believe there’s a lot of a biographical author, director and producer in all of us, so some sections of our lives are always reflected in some unique movies and I’m sure Vikram produced a very unique film.”
“Backstage, I asked Vikram if you’ve produced a good movie or not? ‘And with my present record of movies, I’m not someone who should ask him if he’s made a good movie or not. But you can be somewhat patronizing when you’re working for so many years,” he said taking a jibe at himself.
In 2018, while talking to Filmfare, the’ King of Bollywood’ said: “I have no movie with me right now. I don’t work on any movie. Usually what happens is when your one film is coming to an end, you begin work on your next film and I get involved within 3-4 months.
But this time I am just not feeling like… My heart doesn’t allow me to.. I just felt that I should rather take time out, watch films, listen to stories and read more books.
